"Home is where the heart is."
If this were true then my agreeing to come to Pagudpud somewhere in the Ilocos Regions is worth spending the mid-term break for. It's been awhile since the last family out-of-town trip, although, this time, by "family" I mean Tatay Tony, Uncle Igor and myself. Nesell and the kids chose to spend All Soul's Day with her side of the family. The rest have other plans in mind.
This particular part may seem like a travelogue of the sort; it's not. Although food and places endemic(?) in the region will be featured, it is only that they form part of the entire experience the nature of which will be disclosed as I go far along my article-writing.
Kasano ti mapan diay Pagudpud?
Which way is to Pagudpud?
It's 4:00. Any minute now and we're about to board the van. I Didn't sleep well last night. I guess it was mainly because I was dying in anticipation.
Well, here it is: the beginning of my journey away from home to find home. To the far-flung province of Pagudpud. Later.
